1 Month Old

Gavin is four weeks old today. I can't believe that a month has already passed. He is perfect.
I just want to eat him up. So far he is a good baby. He doesn't like having a bath or getting his diaper changed. He likes to be held all the time. Thank goodness for the baby bjorn and baby sling. He sleeps most of the day. Most nights he will sleep for 4-5 hours at a time. He is so loved by his brother and sister. They want to hug and kiss and hold him all the time. We are so grateful to have him in our family. We love you baby Gavin. Happy 1 month birthday.

So Much Love For Gavers!

Aubree has given Gavin the nickname of Gavers! She and Trevor just can't get enough of their baby brother. They want to hold him all the time. Aubree kisses him at least 100 times a day. They are very good to him. They were very excited when they were able to feed him a bottle. The doctor had me supplement a bottle a couple times a day for a few days to try to get him to put on some weight. At 3 weeks he had yet to put on his birth weight.

They love to snuggle their Gavers.
This is Todd's brother Brad who came to visit for a few days. I love how cute my little Gavers looks in this picture.

Southern California Snow

This year our mall stepped it up and provided a So Cal snow experience. Ok so it is fake bubble snow. But the kids still had a great time running around in it. Trevor had a snowflake fall into his eye. He didn't like that very much since it is soap bubbles and it made his eye burn.
This is as close as we get to snow until we make it up to Big Bear later on. I think I prefer this kind of snow. It isn't cold.

Darling Dancers

The girls in Aubree's dance class. You don't get much cuter than this.
Aubree and her BFF Claire
Aubree's dance class had a little Christmas performance and party at Ms. Jeni's home. They performed a cute little dance to "Who's that up on the Roof." You can watch the performance here at Missi's blog. I have yet to figure out how to upload video.
Then the girls had a gift exchange. Aubree scored a Hello Kitty coloring kit. We then enjoyed some sweet treats and hot chocolate.

Christmas At Disneyland!

Todd took Trevor and Aubree to Disneyland a couple weeks ago to meet up with his best friend Chris and his family. They were down visiting from Northern California. I decided to stay home since Gavin was only a couple weeks old. They had such a great time. They always get spoiled by the Whirlows.
It was a day of firsts for Aubree. She was able to have lunch with Maddy and her mom Cami with all the princesses.
Maddy and Aubree with Cinderella and Snow White.
I told Todd he had to take the kids to see Santa Claus. I wanted a picture with the good Disneyland Santa.
Another first for Aubree: She was tall enough and willing enough to go on Space Mountain. And she loved it. Todd said she was laughing the entire time. Even though she doesn't look so happy in the picture. She also was tall enough to go on California Soarin.
I am a little jealous I didn't get go to Disneyland at Christmas time. But I didn't want to take Gavin out and risk getting him sick.

Crazy Christmas Hair Day

Trevor loves crazy hair day. This time it had to be Christmas crazy hair day. This is what Todd came up with. Trevor keeps asking if he can paint his hair everyday. I have to tell him that we only paint our hair for special occasions.

Choo Choo!

Trevor had to make a train for his Kindergarten Polar Express Parade. (I guess I should say Todd and I had to make it). Todd did the construction and I did the decorating. Trevor was super excited to go on his train ride. It also was pajama day.

Preschool Program

Every year 123 Learn has a Christmas program. They sing a few songs and make a couple costume changes. It was so cute. Aubree did a good job. She was a little shy during the part where they were suppose to dance. But she sang really well.
She is getting too big too fast.
This year she wasn't scared of Santa. She was very excited to tell him what she wanted. Which is a princess vanity that has a piano on it.

Gavin Willard Crump

Gavin Willard Crump
Born: November 23, 2009
10:33 pm
7 lbs. 13 ounces
19 inches
We are so grateful to have a new addition to our family. Trevor and Aubree can't get enough of their baby brother.

Just a quick run down of the evening Gavin was born. Todd got home from work around 5pm. The kids and I were just coming in from playing in the front yard. I had started to feel a little more pressure then normal. But still didn't think much of it. We came inside, got the kids showered and had dinner. After dinner I decided to shower. When I was done I went down stairs for about 10 minutes to let my hair air dry for a few before I was going to blow dry it. After sitting for about 10 minutes I started to head back upstairs to blow dry my hair. On my way up I felt a pop and then a few minutes later I knew my water broke. That was around 6:30pm. I yelled for Todd to call my mom and then call Leslie Scott who was going to come over and stay with Trevor and Aubree. Leslie was here within 10 minutes and we were off to the hospital. We decided to go to Inland Valley Hospital instead of Rancho. They got us in a room very quickly. On our way to the room I had made it clear that I wanted an epidural as soon as possible. My contractions were about 2 minutes apart by the time we got to the hospital. I was dilated to a five when we got there as well. I got situated in the labor room. My mom and my sister Marla arrived. And around 8:30 I got my epidural. It was smooth sailing from there. When the nurse came back to check me a little while later Gavin was ready to come. We had to wait for the Doctor to come. After 3 pushes he was here. Thank goodness for modern medicine. I love epidurals. I am so grateful to have another healthy child. We are lovin our baby Gavin.

Halloween Overload

This year the kids had a lot of opportunities to wear their Halloween costumes. We definitely got good use out of them. Trevor wanted to be Indiana Jones. He has never seen any of the movies but he does play the Lego Indiana Jones game on the Xbox. We went on a search for a good costume. All the packaged costumes at the stores were so flimsy. We decided to create our own. Costco had this great faux leather jacket that he can use for the next couple years. We found the hat, satchel and whip on line. He loves his costume and plays with it all the time.
Aubree wanted to be super girl after she saw her friend Claire sporting the costume about a month ago. She was so excited when it came in the mail. But very disappointed when I didn't let her play in it until Halloween. I was worried she would wear it everyday and it would be ruined by Halloween. Now she can wear it whenever she wants.
We had a great trunk or treat activity at church. Lots of games, food, friends, candy, treats and good times.
Dallin and Trevor
Aubree and Claire waiting for their balloon characters.
Aubree had a Halloween carnival at preschool. They sang a few songs for the parents and then went on to have lunch and play a bunch of games.
Aubree and Jack
Aubree didn't like keeping her faux boots on because they kept slipping down. She is very OCD about her clothes (but that is another story).
Owen, Aubree and Jack
Aubree was really proud of her pumpkin mask she made at preschool and wanted a picture of it.
Aubree also had a Halloween party at Mrs. Jeni's dance class.
Aubree and Claire
Trevor also had what they call a book character parade at school. I guess that is their way of being politically correct by not calling it Halloween for those who don't celebrate it. Instead they are suppose to dress up as a character from a book and bring their book with them for a costume parade. Todd was able to be a watch dog on the same day at Trevor's school. Which means he spent the entire day at school. He got to help out in Trevor's class, walk the perimeter, play with Trevor and his friends at lunch and have a good time. Trevor loved having his dad at school with him.
We had a great Halloween and now have way too much candy. Which is a bad thing because I lack self control when it comes to sugar. Oh well...I will use the excuse that I am pregnant. I will worry about the extra calories later.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

This year we made a few visits to the pumpkin patch. We have one down the street from our house that we drive by almost everyday. As soon as our kids see the workers out there putting up the fences and lights the question begins..."When can we go to the pumpkin, When can we go to the pumpkin patch, over and over." We ended up making it on a monday night for our FHE activity. I think half our ward had the same plan. The kids had a great time playing with lots of friends.

Todd went out of town for the weekend at the beginning of October. So I took the kids to my parents house and my mom and I took them to a great pumpkin patch in Live Oak Canyon.

I was trying to get a good picture of the kids with the pumpkins but the sun was right in their eyes. So I told them to close their eyes and I would count to three. When I got to three they would open their eyes and I would try to get a picture. This is as good as we got.
We had a great time with Deni (grandma) at the pumpkin patch. They were stoked to get there googly eyed glasses and their blow up toys.

Baby Shower

A couple weeks ago I had my baby shower. It was such a fun night to hang out with friends and eat the yummiest treats and punch. My friend Heather made these adorable cupcakes. I didn't even want to eat them because they were too cute.
Me & Missi
Aubree came to the party as well. This is her friend Taylor whose mom Sheina hosted the
party.
Thanks Sheina. Aren't they too cute.
A few of the great ladies from my ward and my Mom & Sister.

She is due two weeks after me and is having a boy as well. Her parents and my parents have been friends since before we were ever born.
Aubree loving the blankies my mom made for the baby.
My group gift was one of these fabulous diaper bags made by Ju-Ju-Be. I am so excited to get it. I am getting one similar to this one above but mine is going to be brown with a custom made Woody & Surfboard on it instead of the pirate skull. These really are the best diaper bags. Go check out there website. I feel so fortunate to be surrounded by so many wonderful ladies and friends. I felt so spoiled that night. Thank you everyone.

Dance Time!!

It is dance time again with Mrs. Jeni. Aubree and her favorite friend Claire have started their dance class again. All these little girls are too cute. It is so fun to watch them dance. I already see some improvement over last year.

Claire & Aubree
We can't wait until the recital this time around to see what cute stuff Mrs. Jeni comes up with.

Bye-Bye Car

With baby #3 on the way we decided it was time to join the mini-van club. But that meant we had to sell our other car. Trevor and Aubree wanted to say Good-Bye to the car one last time before we passed it on to the new owners.

Trevor had to give it a hug and a kiss good-bye. I have to admit it was bitter sweet to say good bye to the explorer. It had some sentimental value since we bought it from my Grandma. But it was time to let it go to a nice new family. And I am loving the mini-van. Gotta love the automatic doors.

Ward Camp Out!

A couple weeks ago our ward had a ward camp out at Vail Lake Resorts. It is only 10-15 minutes from our house. Which made it perfect for me because I was able to join everyone for the evening festivities and then drive home to my own bed and bathroom. While leaving Todd there with the kids to spend the night.

Trevor and the Lowe boys.
The kids had fun on the home made swing.
We had an evening camp fire program with the traditional marshmallow roast for s'mores. I headed home around 10pm. I returned in the morning feeling refreshed from a good night sleep. Then kids were already out running around playing having a great time. The ward provided breakfast for everyone. By 10am we were packed up and ready to head home. It was a great ward activity.

Happy Birthday to Me!

My birthday was on Labor Day. My mom offered to take me and my sister to Glen Ivy Hot Springs for my birthday. She made an appointment for me to have a pregnancy massage. We started at the mud pool and then went to the Grotto to be painted with something. Then I went off for my massage. It was so nice to have a massage after a few days of camping. I wish it was a two hour massage instead of a hour. After the massage we met for lunch and then went to get dressed. We were meeting Todd and the kids and my dad and sisters husband to go to Disneyland for the evening. I had to go get my free gift card for my birthday.
We didn't get there until about 5:30pm. The parking garage was so full that they sent us to some other parking lot where they had to bus us in. We were fully prepared for a crowded evening. The main purpose was to get my gift card and to go have dinner somewhere. We went to the California side and made our traditional first stops at the bread factory and tortilla factory. Then the kids went on a couple rides.
We left the California side to head to dinner at the mexican restaurant down by house of blues. It was ok. They brought me a birthday sundae which was yummy. Our belly's were full and legs getting tired (ok just my legs were tired). We decided to call it a day. We headed back to the bus and when we got back to the parking lot the fireworks had just started.
We had a perfect view from the parking lot so we stayed and watched the show. I had a great birthday. Thanks to my family for making it a special day.

Labor Day Camping!

We were able to go camping over labor day weekend with great friends (Nilsens, Draegers, Waldrons) on the beach at camp pendleton. Our camp site was great. It really is a great place to go camping. It was a lot of fun. The kids were heaven (until the third day...the boys played so hard that half of them ended up with some painful rashes). I wasn't sure how long I would last being 28 weeks pregnant. Julie and Sheina are also pregnant so we tried to plan ahead of time our middle of the night bathroom runs. We told each other that when one of us needed to go to just come wake one of us up. Well the first night was a little rough because I had to go to the bathroom so bad but when it came down to it I didn't want to wake anyone up to walk down there with me. So I tortured myself that night. The second night was better because I woke Todd up to walk down to the bathroom with me.
The kids were in the water first thing in the morning. It is so fun to see how much fun the kids have together.

The kids played on the lifeguard tower as much as they could. It was their pirate ship.

I went into our tent one morning and this is what I found. They were each playing something on an iphone. I guess this is how the Crump's roll. Trevor was taking a break trying to air out his rash.
We had such a great time hanging out with our family and friends. We headed home Sunday evening. By then my hips and tail bone were aching so bad from walking on uneven sand for three days that it was time for us to pack it up and head home. It was nice to be back home in my own bed and have my own bathroom. All in All a great weekend.

Aubree's First Haircut

Aubree finally had her first hair cut a couple weeks ago. Her hair was getting a bit stringy at the ends. So I finally took her in for her first trim. She was excited to go to Toon Cuts and play with the toys and watch a movie. She did great.
Gotta love how the lady did her hair with the clips. Not my favorite look. But she is still cute as can be. I quickly went home and took out the red clippie.
